- Ensure that your website, blog and other online platforms show that you are on Pinterest. Just like you (hopefully) added social media buttons for Facebook and Twitter, Pinterest also has buttons so that your followers can easily find you on the insanely popular photo sharing site.
- If you plan on sharing images of your own work or products, be sure to add a watermark with either your name or logo. Once a picture is on Pinterest, there’s no limit to how many times it will be viewed and shared. You’ll want to make sure that people know the original source of the photo, which is exactly why a watermark is necessary.
- Don’t just become a mad pinner. Engagement is the name of the social media game. Find other pinners and boards that interest you, like them, follow them and be sure to leave comments. You can even go an extra step by thanking anyone who repins your pins.
- If you’re always on the go, take advantage of Pinterest apps that can be downloaded on most smartphones. You can enjoy the entire Pinterest experience on your phone, anytime, anywhere!
